The First Cameras Are on Their Way!

I’m so happy to share that the first round of Pinhole Project cameras has officially shipped! If you requested one, keep an eye on your mailbox—they should be arriving within the next week!

What makes this first batch especially meaningful is that every camera was handmade by Janet before she passed away. Her daughter, Jess, found these unused cameras and sent them to me so they could finally make their way out into the world and create photographs, just as Janet intended.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been busy loading each camera with photographic paper, taping them up to make them light-tight, and getting them ready to ship to everyone who requested one. It's been a really special experience to work with cameras that Janet made with her own hands, knowing they'll soon be out there capturing images in places near and far.

A huge thank you to Jess for generously covering the shipping costs for this first round of cameras and helping make it possible to send them out for free. It's such a wonderful way to honor her mom and keep The Pinhole Project going.

I'm excited to see where these cameras end up and what images come back. There's something pretty amazing about knowing that Janet's cameras are still traveling, making photographs, and connecting people through this simple, beautiful process.

Thank you to everyone who requested a camera and is helping carry The Pinhole Project forward. I can't wait to see what you make!
